Filip Kolenko, dr.med.dent.
Specialist in Endodontics and Restorative Dentistry, Head of the Endodontics and Restorative Dentistry Department
Filip Kolenko graduated from the School of Dental Medicine, University of Zagreb, in 2018 and passed his specialist examination in endodontics and restorative dentistry in 2023.
He has been working at IMED Polyclinic and Day Hospital in Zagreb since completing his studies, where he currently serves as Head of the Department of Endodontics and Restorative Dentistry. His clinical work is primarily focused on complex primary and retreatment endodontic procedures, as well as direct and indirect restorations of endodontically treated teeth.
He is a certified educator for rotary endodontic systems and post-endodontic restorative treatment and has received training at the Dentsply Sirona Academy in Ballaigues, Switzerland.
Since 2024, he has been a Key Opinion Leader for Dentsply Sirona. He has conducted numerous hands-on courses, lectures, and professional educational programs in endodontics in Croatia, Slovenia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a focus on implementing contemporary endodontic protocols in everyday clinical practice.
His particular professional interests include minimally invasive endodontics, modern mechanical instrumentation systems, activation-based disinfection, bioceramic materials, the use of optical aids and magnification in endodontics, including dental loupes and operating microscopes, as well as restorative procedures following endodontic treatment.
He is a member of the Executive Board of the Croatian Society for Minimally Invasive Dentistry of the Croatian Medical Association, as well as the Croatian Society of Endodontics and the Croatian Society of Restorative Dentistry. He is a member of the Croatian Chamber of Dental Medicine and the author of professional and educational articles in the field of dental medicine.
