Igor Blivajs dr.med.

Dr. Igor Blivajs, MD, graduated from the School of Medicine at the University of Zagreb in 2007 and completed his internship at the University Hospital Center Zagreb (KBC Zagreb).

In September 2009, he began his specialization in Maxillofacial Surgery at the Clinic for Facial, Jaw, and Oral Surgery KB Dubrava under the mentorship of Prof. Mišo Virag. He passed his specialist exam in maxillofacial surgery in 2014, after which he worked in the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Facial Surgery at the same clinic as a senior physician.

In September 2015, he started a subspecialization in Head and Neck Plastic Surgery and passed the subspecialist exam in May 2018, becoming a subspecialist in head and neck plastic surgery.

In January 2017, Dr. Blivajs was appointed Assistant at the Chair of Maxillofacial Surgery, School of Dental Medicine, University of Zagreb, where he worked until June 2021. He then joined the Clinic for Ear, Nose, and Throat Diseases and Head and Neck Surgery at KBC Zagreb as a maxillofacial and head & neck plastic surgeon. In March 2022, he began a specialization in Otorhinolaryngology under the mentorship of Prof. Drago Prgomet.

He is the author and co-author of numerous scientific papers published in international journals and regularly participates in domestic and international professional congresses. His areas of expertise include plastic and reconstructive surgery of the head and neck, microvascular reconstructive surgery, and surgical oncology of the head and neck. He is currently preparing his doctoral dissertation.
