Implants are inserted into the zygomatic (cheekbone) bone. This avoids extensive bone regeneration procedures, simplifies and speeds up the treatment process.
2 or 4 zygomatic implants without or in combination with standard dental implants provide a reliable and permanent anchorage for a fixed bridge in the upper jaw.
The operation itself is the most demanding surgical technique in implantology. It is reserved for specialists in oral and maxillofacial surgery with extensive implantology experience. The procedure is performed under full anesthesia in our day hospital. Recovery at home takes a few days, and a temporary fixed bridge is placed the second day after the implant is installed.
Zygomatic implants are inserted through the alveolar crest and maxillary sinus involving the zygomatic bone for anchorage.
This technique is successfully combined with Imed protokolom, All on 4 , IMED Full Arch Concept and All in one concept of therapy.
